The wind farm Tychowo was the second investment of the RP Global group in Poland. It consists of twenty turbines of 2.5 MW each and is located in the north of Poland, near the towns of Słupsk and Sławno, 50 meters above sea level. The wind park provides 30,000 Polish households with green electricity, contributing to meeting the European Union’s energy/climate change targets. This project, like Kukinia, is part of RP Global’s joint venture with the Marguerite Fund. It was co-financed by the EBRD and the PKO Bank Polska. Tychowo proves that renewable energy projects can be financed despite the extremely difficult conditions in the capital markets in 2008/2009 as a result of the global financial crisis. The project not only substantially improves Poland's track record in clean electricity, but also provides revenue and employment in the Sławno region.
Tychowo has been fully operational since May 2010.
