The hydropower plant, Xerta, is located in Spain, on the lower Ebro River.
It includes a weir, inlet structures for two irrigation channels, ship locks, and an old water mill. Xerta has 4 Semi-Kaplan turbines with a nominal capacity of 4.5 MW each.
The project went into operation in 2001 and was sold in 2011.
